The Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory (SBRL) is delighted to announce the tenth Suicide and Self-Harm Early and Mid-Career Researchers’ Forum on 11th and 12th June 2026
The Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory (SBRL) is delighted to announce the tenth Suicide and Self-Harm Early and Mid-Career Researchers’ Forum (EMCRF26), which will be held at the Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel, Glasgow West End, 11th and 12th June 2026. EMCRF26 is open to all working in the field of suicide and self-harm research, but it is specifically targeted at Early and Mid-Career Researchers. The Forum provides the opportunity to present your latest research and study projects in progress to colleagues, peers, health professionals, and policy makers. We aim to provide a supportive context for networking, and collaborations among Masters, PhD, and Post-doctoral research students as well as more established researchers.

Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory (SBRL)
The Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory (SBRL) at the University of Glasgow is led by Professor Rory O'Connor.
Rory has a long-standing interest in suicide research (for more information, see his profile here).
He has been conducting research into suicide and self-harm since 1994 and he established the SBRL (originally named SBRG) in 2003. It has a global reputation for conducting high quality, theoretically-grounded and innovative research and it is the leading suicide and self-harm research group in Scotland and one of the leading groups internationally.
